Data Deletion Policy

This Data Deletion Policy explains how users of MyJobFixer.com (“MyJobFixer”, “we”, “us” or “our”) can request the deletion of their personal information and how we handle those requests.
This policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. Your Right to Request Deletion
You may request that personal information we hold about you is deleted.
This is sometimes referred to as the right to erasure or the right to be forgotten.
The right to deletion is not absolute. In some circumstances, we may need to retain certain information for legal, accounting, security, fraud-prevention or other legitimate purposes.
2. Information You Can Ask Us to Delete
Depending on how you have used MyJobFixer, a deletion request may include:
- your MyJobFixer account;
- your name and contact information;
- CVs or résumés you have uploaded;
- employment history, qualifications and skills you have provided;
- job descriptions or vacancy information you have submitted;
- information entered into MyJobFixer forms or analysis tools;
- saved Role Gap Scores;
- saved reports and recommendations;
- information stored in your Career Profile;
- saved Target Jobs;
- CV improvement or application content generated for you;
- interview preparation information;
- other personal information associated with your account.
You may request deletion of your entire account or particular information.
3. Automatic Deletion of Uploaded Documents
CVs, job descriptions and similar source documents uploaded for analysis are normally automatically deleted from MyJobFixer storage within 30 days of upload.
Where MyJobFixer provides an option to delete information sooner, you may use that facility.
Generated reports or other information that you choose to save to your account may remain available until you delete them, your account is deleted, or they are removed under our data-retention procedures.
4. How to Request Data Deletion

Please provide enough information for us to identify your account, such as:
- your name;
- the email address associated with your MyJobFixer account; and
- whether you want your entire account deleted or only particular information.
Please do not send passwords, payment-card information, passport details or other unnecessary sensitive information when making a request.
5. Identity Verification
We may need to verify your identity before deleting personal information.
This is to help prevent somebody else from requesting the deletion of your information without your permission.
We will only request information that is reasonably necessary to verify your identity.
6. What Happens After a Deletion Request
Once we have identified and verified a valid request, where necessary, we will review the information associated with the request.
Where the information can be deleted, we will take reasonable steps to remove it from our active systems.
This may include deleting or anonymising relevant:
- account information;
- uploaded documents;
- saved reports;
- Role Gap Score information;
- Career Profile information;
- application and interview preparation information; and
- other information associated with your use of MyJobFixer.
Where information is irreversibly anonymised so that it can no longer identify you, it may no longer constitute personal information.
7. How Long Deletion Requests Take
We aim to deal with deletion requests without unnecessary delay.
Where UK data protection law applies, we will normally respond to a valid request within one calendar month.
If a request is particularly complex or involves a number of requests, the response period may be extended where permitted by law. If this happens, we will inform you and explain why additional time is required.
8. Information We May Need to Keep
Deleting an account does not necessarily mean that every record relating to a user can immediately be removed.
We may retain limited information where reasonably necessary for purposes including:
- complying with legal obligations;
- accounting and tax records;
- payment and transaction records;
- preventing fraud or abuse;
- resolving disputes;
- establishing, exercising or defending legal claims;
- maintaining security records;
- investigating misuse or security incidents; and
- demonstrating compliance with legal obligations.
For example, purchase records relating to payments processed through WarriorPlus or PayPal may need to be retained for accounting, customer-support, fraud-prevention or legal purposes.
Any information retained for these purposes will only be retained for as long as reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose.
9. Backups
Personal information may temporarily remain within secure backup systems after it has been deleted from active systems.
Backup information is not routinely accessed or used as active customer information.
Where information remains within backups, it will normally be removed through our regular backup-retention and replacement processes.
If a backup has to be restored, we will take reasonable steps to ensure that previously completed deletion requests continue to be respected.
10. Information Processed by Service Providers
MyJobFixer uses third-party service providers to help operate the service.
These may include providers of:
- artificial intelligence services;
- website and server hosting;
- database and infrastructure services;
- email delivery;
- analytics;
- payment processing; and
- technical and security services.
Where appropriate and required, we will take reasonable steps to ensure that relevant personal information held by service providers on our behalf is deleted or handled in accordance with the deletion request.
Some providers may be required to retain limited information under their own legal, security or contractual obligations.
11. OpenAI and AI Processing
MyJobFixer may use the OpenAI API to provide artificial-intelligence-powered analysis and other features.
Relevant information necessary to perform a requested analysis may be transmitted to OpenAI for processing.
Where a deletion request relates to information processed through an AI service, we will handle information under our control in accordance with this policy and, where applicable, take appropriate steps in relation to information processed by service providers on our behalf.
12. Payment Information
Payments for MyJobFixer products or services may be processed through third-party providers such as WarriorPlus and PayPal.
MyJobFixer does not normally hold complete payment-card details, bank-account information or PayPal login credentials.
Deleting your MyJobFixer account does not automatically delete information independently held by WarriorPlus, PayPal or another payment provider.
You may need to contact those providers directly regarding information they hold under their own privacy policies.
13. Analytics and Technical Information
Some technical or security information may be retained for a limited period for purposes such as:
- website security;
- fraud prevention;
- error diagnosis;
- service reliability; and
- investigation of security incidents.
Analytics information that has been aggregated or anonymised so that it can no longer reasonably identify an individual may be retained.
14. When We May Refuse a Deletion Request
In certain circumstances, data protection law allows or requires us to retain personal information.
If we are unable to comply fully with a deletion request, we will explain the reason where required by law.
You may have the right to challenge our decision or make a complaint to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
