3. CVs and Uploaded Information

CVs can contain a significant amount of personal information.

You should only provide information that is reasonably necessary for the service you are requesting.

We recommend removing unnecessary sensitive information before uploading a CV, including:

  • National Insurance numbers;
  • passport or driving licence numbers;
  • bank or payment details;
  • medical information;
  • unnecessary dates of birth;
  • sensitive personal information that is not relevant to the job analysis;
  • information about other people that is not necessary.

You remain responsible for deciding what information you provide to MyJobFixer.

4. How We Use Your Information

  • provide MyJobFixer services;
  • analyse CVs and job descriptions;
  • generate Role Gap Scores;
  • compare a person’s stated experience with job requirements;
  • identify potential skills, qualification or experience gaps;
  • provide CV and application suggestions;
  • generate career-related guidance;
  • maintain user accounts;
  • provide customer support;
  • process and verify purchases;
  • maintain the security and reliability of the service;
  • diagnose technical problems;
  • understand how the website is used, where you have consented to analytics;
  • comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

MyJobFixer does not make employment or recruitment decisions on behalf of employers.

5. Artificial Intelligence and OpenAI

MyJobFixer uses artificial intelligence to provide some of its services.

Our AI functionality may use the OpenAI API, provided by OpenAI.

When you request an AI-powered analysis, relevant information from your request may be securely transmitted to OpenAI for processing. This may include text from a CV, job description, questions or instructions that are necessary to generate the requested result.

OpenAI acts as a technology service provider in connection with this processing.

OpenAI states that information submitted through its business and API services is not used to train its models by default unless the customer expressly opts in to data sharing for that purpose.

We do not intentionally opt users’ CV information into AI model training.

AI-generated analysis may contain errors and should not be considered a definitive assessment of a person’s abilities, suitability or employment prospects.

6. Role Gap Scores and Automated Analysis

MyJobFixer may use automated software and artificial intelligence to compare information contained in a CV with information contained in a job specification.

This may produce a Role Gap Score and recommendations.

The score is intended as an informational tool.

It does not determine whether you should or will be:

  • interviewed;
  • shortlisted;
  • offered employment;
  • rejected from a position;
  • considered suitable by an employer.

MyJobFixer does not use automated processing to make legally binding employment decisions about you.

7. Lawful Basis for Processing

Depending on how you use MyJobFixer, we may rely on:

Where processing is necessary to provide a service that you request or purchase.

Legitimate Interests

Where processing is reasonably necessary for operating, securing and improving MyJobFixer and our interests do not override your data protection rights.

Where we specifically ask for consent, including the use of Google Analytics cookies.

8. How Long We Keep Your Information

We do not keep personal information for longer than reasonably necessary.

Uploaded CVs and job-analysis documents

CVs, job descriptions and similar source documents uploaded for analysis will normally be automatically deleted from MyJobFixer’s storage within 30 days of upload.

Where a facility is provided to delete information sooner, users may do so.

Account information

Basic account information may be retained while your account remains active and for a reasonable period afterwards for account administration, security and legal purposes.

Generated reports

Reports and analysis that users choose to save to their account may remain available until deleted by the user, the account is deleted, or they are removed in accordance with our retention procedures.

Payment records

Transaction records may be retained for accounting, fraud prevention, customer support and legal requirements.

Security records

Technical and security logs may be retained for a reasonable period to protect the service and investigate technical or security incidents.

Third-party providers may retain information for periods required by their own contractual, security or legal obligations.

9. Payments

Purchases for MyJobFixer products or services may be processed through WarriorPlus, with payments handled through PayPal where that payment method is selected.

MyJobFixer does not normally receive or store your complete PayPal login credentials, bank account information or payment card details.

We may receive information necessary to administer your purchase, such as:

  • purchaser name;
  • purchaser email address;
  • product purchased;
  • payment status;
  • transaction or order identifier;
  • refund or cancellation information.

WarriorPlus and PayPal process information under their own terms and privacy policies.

10. Google Analytics

MyJobFixer may use Google Analytics to help us understand how visitors use the website.

Google Analytics may collect information such as:

  • approximate location derived from technical information;

  • time spent on pages;

We do not sell your CV or personal information to employers, recruitment companies or data brokers.

Uploading your CV to MyJobFixer does not result in your CV automatically being sent to an employer or recruiter.

Some service providers used by MyJobFixer may process information outside the United Kingdom.

Where required, appropriate safeguards will be used for international transfers of personal information.

MyJobFixer may use strictly necessary cookies or browser storage to operate features such as:
