MyJobFixer provides online tools designed to help job seekers review CVs, compare their experience with job opportunities, identify potential skills or experience gaps, improve applications and access career-related guidance.

Information We Collect
Depending on how you use MyJobFixer, we may collect:
your name and email address;
account and login information;
information entered into forms;
CVs and résumés that you upload, paste, create or save as Working CVs;
employment history;
qualifications and skills;
job descriptions and vacancy information;
information you provide when using our analysis tools;
CV Match Scores (formerly called Role Gap Scores), saved analyses, reports and other results generated for you;
customer support communications;
purchase and transaction information;
technical information such as IP address, browser, device type and access logs;
website usage information collected through Independent Analytics and, where you have consented to applicable cookies, Google Analytics;
link-click information collected through Pretty Links, which may include a referring page, IP address, date and time, and tracking parameters.

CVs and Uploaded Information
CVs can contain a significant amount of personal information.
You should only provide information that is reasonably necessary for the service you are requesting.
We recommend removing unnecessary sensitive information before uploading a CV, including:
National Insurance numbers;
passport or driving licence numbers;
bank or payment details;
medical information;
unnecessary dates of birth;
sensitive personal information that is not relevant to the job analysis;
information about other people that is not necessary.
You remain responsible for deciding what information you provide to MyJobFixer.
Working CVs saved to an account
When you create or use a MyJobFixer account, a Working CV can be saved to your account for a specific Target Job. This allows you to return to that CV, edit it, re-check its match against the job and use it with other MyJobFixer tools. A saved Working CV is not treated as a temporary upload and is not automatically deleted after 30 days.
MyJobFixer uses automated processing to reduce some direct contact details and sensitive identifiers in the stored Working CV body. Approved contact or profile details, such as a name, email address or telephone number, may be held separately in your account profile. Automated removal may be imperfect; you should check the information you provide and retain.
When you use the free CV Match Score without an account, a draft CV or analysis may instead remain temporarily in your browser session. It is not automatically the same as a saved account Working CV.
Files supplied for analysis
Original CV files uploaded to the analysis engine are handled separately from the Working CV saved in your MyJobFixer account. They may be retained in processing storage while the analysis and associated technical operations are carried out. If you need an uploaded source file or saved CV deleted, contact us using the details below.

How We Use Your Information
We may use information to:
provide MyJobFixer services;
analyse CVs and job descriptions;
generate CV Match Scores (previously called Role Gap Scores);
create, save and update Working CVs linked to a user account and Target Job;
compare a person’s stated experience with job requirements;
identify potential skills, qualification or experience gaps;
provide CV and application suggestions;
generate career-related guidance;
maintain user accounts;
provide customer support;
process and verify purchases;
maintain the security and reliability of the service;
diagnose technical problems;
understand how the website is used through first-party traffic reporting and, where required, consented analytics;
comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
MyJobFixer does not make employment or recruitment decisions on behalf of employers.

Artificial Intelligence and OpenAI
MyJobFixer uses artificial intelligence to provide some of its services.
Our AI functionality may use the OpenAI API, provided by OpenAI.
When you request an AI-powered analysis, relevant information from your request may be securely transmitted to OpenAI for processing. This may include text from a CV, job description, questions or instructions that are necessary to generate the requested result.
OpenAI acts as a technology service provider in connection with this processing.
OpenAI states that information submitted through its business and API services is not used to train its models by default unless the customer expressly opts in to data sharing for that purpose.
We do not intentionally opt users’ CV information into AI model training.
AI-generated analysis may contain errors and should not be considered a definitive assessment of a person’s abilities, suitability or employment prospects.

CV Match Scores and Automated Analysis
MyJobFixer may use automated software and artificial intelligence to compare information contained in a CV with information contained in a job specification.
This may produce a CV Match Score and recommendations about the match with a specific job. The score is not a general assessment of the quality of every aspect of your CV.
The score is intended as an informational tool.
It does not determine whether you should or will be:
interviewed;
shortlisted;
offered employment;
rejected from a position;
considered suitable by an employer.
MyJobFixer does not use automated processing to make legally binding employment decisions about you.

Lawful Basis for Processing
Depending on how you use MyJobFixer, we may rely on:
Contract
Where processing is necessary to provide a service that you request or purchase.
Legitimate Interests
Where processing is reasonably necessary for operating, securing and improving MyJobFixer and our interests do not override your data protection rights.
Consent
Where we specifically ask for consent, including the use of Google Analytics cookies.
You may withdraw consent at any time.
Legal Obligation
Where information must be processed or retained to comply with applicable law.

How Long We Keep Your Information
We keep personal information according to the purpose for which it was collected, subject to user deletion requests and any applicable legal obligations. Different categories of CV information are kept differently.
Working CVs saved to an account
A saved Working CV is associated with a user’s account and the relevant Target Job. It does not have an automatic 30-day expiry. It normally remains available until the user clears or replaces it, deletes the relevant Target Job, the account is deleted, or we process an applicable erasure request. Replacement saves the current editable version rather than maintaining an indefinite archive of earlier Working CV versions.
Original uploads and unsaved analyses
Original CV files uploaded for analysis are handled separately by the analysis engine and are not automatically the same as the account’s saved Working CV. They are used for processing and associated technical operations. Temporary uploads and browser-session drafts are subject to separate technical storage and clean-up processes. Contact us to request deletion of personal information held in temporary processing storage.
Career profiles, target jobs and generated reports
Career-profile information, Target Jobs, saved CV or application documents, and reports or analysis that users choose to save may remain available while the account or relevant records are retained. Removing a Working CV does not necessarily remove information separately saved in a career profile, generated document or report; those records may need to be deleted separately or through a privacy request.
Account information
Basic account information may be retained while an account remains active and for a reasonable period afterwards where needed for administration, security or legal obligations.
Website analytics and link-click records
Website traffic records and link-click history are retained according to the relevant site’s reporting and deletion settings. These records may include IP addresses and referrer information. You can contact us about information that may be associated with you.
Payment records
Transaction records may be retained for accounting, fraud prevention, customer support and legal requirements.
Security records and backups
Technical and security logs and backups may be retained for operational, security and recovery purposes for a limited period under the relevant systems’ procedures. Information already removed from active systems may remain temporarily in backups before those backups expire.
Third-party providers may retain information for periods required by their own contractual, security or legal obligations.

Payments
Purchases for MyJobFixer products or services may be processed through WarriorPlus, with payments handled through PayPal where that payment method is selected.
MyJobFixer does not normally receive or store your complete PayPal login credentials, bank account information or payment card details.
We may receive information necessary to administer your purchase, such as:
purchaser name;
purchaser email address;
product purchased;
payment status;
transaction or order identifier;
refund or cancellation information.
WarriorPlus and PayPal process information under their own terms and privacy policies.

Website Analytics and Download Link Tracking
We use Independent Analytics to understand website traffic and how pages are used. Depending on its configuration, usage records may include visited pages, referral sources, approximate location and technical information about a visit.
We may also use Google Analytics, which can collect information about pages visited, browser or device details, referring pages and interactions. Where Google Analytics or another technology requires consent for non-essential cookies or similar storage, we seek that consent before enabling it. You may refuse optional analytics cookies without preventing access to the main service.
We use Pretty Links to manage and measure some links to resources, such as downloadable guides. Its reports may record link requests, timestamps, IP addresses, referring pages and tracking parameters. Some recorded link requests may come from automated link preview services or crawlers rather than human readers.

Sharing Information
We may share information with service providers where reasonably necessary to operate MyJobFixer.
These may include:
OpenAI for artificial intelligence processing;
website and server hosting providers;
database and infrastructure providers;
Google for consented website analytics;
providers of website analytics, link tracking and related reporting tools, where they process data on our behalf;
WarriorPlus for purchase processing;
PayPal for payments;
email delivery providers;
technical and security providers.
We may also disclose information where required by law or where reasonably necessary to protect our legal rights, users or systems.
We do not sell your CV or personal information to employers, recruitment companies or data brokers.
Uploading your CV to MyJobFixer does not result in your CV automatically being sent to an employer or recruiter.

International Processing
Some service providers used by MyJobFixer may process information outside the United Kingdom.
Where required, appropriate safeguards will be used for international transfers of personal information.

Cookies
MyJobFixer may use strictly necessary cookies or browser storage to operate features such as:
account sessions;
login functionality;
security;
service preferences;
maintaining application state.
We may also use optional analytics cookies or similar technologies. Where these require consent, they should only be activated after the user has consented. Some first-party website analytics or link-request logging may operate without setting analytics cookies.
